  1. Excellent coffee for cafetière.

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Oct 2014

This is the best coffee we have yet found for the cafetière. Pity Farrers don't also do Espresso Pods.

Thanks for the comment - unfortunately, there are so many do machines on the market, it is impractical for us to produce them. But we can grind for any cafetiere or pour-over. Keep enjoying our coffee!

  2. Smell and Flavour lives up to experience

    Posted by J M on 13th Oct 2014

This coffee was given to us in a B&B in Windermere on October 4th. We had not tasted such a smooth rich coffee since Italy. As a result when we arrived home we ordered some coffee on line.

Not disappointed at all.. thrilled to have found this coffee.

  3. Simply the best!

Posted by John Garside on 23rd Jul 2014

How can I possibly sum up the superlatives that I, and everyone I know who has tasted the 'end product', feels about the outstanding taste of Farrer's No.1?

Quite simply the best, most unique coffee I have ever tasted, even in comparison with coffee I have drunk in France, Germany, Portugal and Turkey.

It richly deserves the title No.1.

  4. Perfectly blended tasty coffee

A lovely coffee you can drink any time of day

  5. The best blend ever

Posted by Dominic on 8th Feb 2014

I first came across No.1 blend at the cafe in Lakeland's flagship store in Windermere, a long time before its current splendour. It was, at the first taste, an outstandingly delicious blend and perfect for morning drinking. With clearly Colombian overtones, it has distinct, rich body and a fine lingering aftertaste with absolutely no bitterness at all, classic caramel notes being rounded with memorable nuttiness. Superb and as yet unmatched! (But please, reduce the postage costs!)

  6. Christmas comes but once....

Posted by Stuart Wilkinson on 29th Nov 2013

I was introduced to Farrer's by last year's Christmas coffee. To my surprise it was in the same class, and as much to my taste, as that from a London store at a third of the price. This year's is as satisfying as last year's. It has dispelled my "santaphobia" yet again.

  7. Nice & smooth

Posted by David on 22nd Nov 2013

This is a great every day coffee. Nice & smooth when made in a filter machine. I found I used less coffee in a cafetiere to get the same smooth taste

  8. Great coffee

Posted by David on 27th Oct 2013

Highly recommend this for use in either a filter or caffetiere. Very smooth, tasty coffee. Great all-rounder

  9. An excellent all round coffee

Posted by Stewart on 25th Jan 2011

A well rounded and tasty coffee which is equally at home as a breakfast coffee and can also be used as an after dinner beverage. It is not too bitter, and can be brewed stronger without affecting the overall flavour.

  10. no1-literally

I agree a truly wonderful coffee, a really smooth and rich taste. Just Perfect
